P&M Computer Services was founded in 2001 by me, Kevin A. Perry, a native of Cape Cod. I discovered my passion for computer repair while pondering how I could supplement my career ambitions of becoming a successful working actor if I ever moved to NY or LA. My acting career never worked out, but my passion for the computer technology industry remains. After a year-long course study in computer troubleshooting, computer repair, and networking, P&M Computer Services was officially opened for business on Monday, August 20, 2001. P&M Computer Services was formed to provide on-site computer repair services to homeowners and small business owners located on Cape Cod. On November 10, 2006, I earned my CompTIA A+ Certification. Today I continue to own and operate P&M Computer Services from within a home office located in South Yarmouth. My preference remains to provide computer support services to individual homeowners or small business owners which have fewer than 10 employees. I enjoy working in the small office setting as it allows me to establish a personal relationship with my clients as opposed to a large corporate environment.
My philosophy is quite simple, treat each client as I would expect to be treated, or one of my family members to be treated. Sounds elementary, but I’ve heard stories of clients being disrespected by previous technicians. I also believe in the importance of punctuality. Numerous times I’ve had clients thank me for showing up on time or calling back in a timely fashion. While there are times when unexpected delays may occur at prior appointments, I believe that if I give a client my word of being at their location at a certain time, I’m going to be there when I say. I also don’t believe in charging different rates to different people just because they are a business owner and they can afford it. I value all my clients equally and I do not base my rates on whether the client is a homeowner or small business owner. I sometimes think that even the simplest of basic customer service skills are missing from some IT companies who are only concerned with their financial bottom line.
